Nestled within a sorceress' realm are the creatures of fantasy: dragons, unicorns, elves, sprites and many others. This page is dedicated to my heart's favorite, the winged rulers of the skies, the dragons. Long have they existed in man's thoughts, their images constant throughout the art and history of our race. Those who doubt the existence of these wild but gentle creatures will never experience their power and magic, for dragons know who believes and who does not. Are dragons evil, taking what they will with no remorse, no conscience, no redeemable qualities? Or are they good and wise, all powerful guardians of magic we have yet to know, acting as they must, tending their secrets masterfully? One finds the answers to the questions about dragons with one's heart...

Crystals..a dragon's trademark

Dragons, being the mysterious creatures that they are,
are frequently depicted holding or guarding a crystal.
It is said that these creatures are the natural guardians
of these oft-misunderstood stones.
A dragon will often fight to the death
o keep a magic crystal from falling into the hands of the ignorant.

Dragons across time...

Throughout recorded history, dragons have been depicted in the art and writings of all cultures. Eastern cultures have a very different rendering of dragons from Western civilizations. Their creature lacks the magnificent wings characteristic of medievel ones. Dragons have been documented by early Roman civilizations, as evidenced in the remains of statues and crypts in today's museums. Even North American native indians have a place for the dragon on their totems.
